In this painting I used both opaque as well as transparent colours to create an illusion that the colours of the painting changes when light comes from different directions. If you gaze through the painting from different angles, the white light in the centre changes from a bright pearly white to a transparent dim pink. Similarly blues, reds and yellows change with change of light. (See belo
