Figurative Abstract

Loved ones, family, friends, neighbours, in short people and my interaction with them has always been a very important aspect of my life, shaping who I am and guiding me in the path of life. Therefore, it is inevitable that figures found themselves a place in my Art from time to time. I sometimes just like to look at a figure and enjoy the shape and movement and reflect this in my paintings.
At other times, I try to capture what people see and feel in their environment.
A person’s character, mood and feelings become more important for me than just capturing their features.
I try to understand their story before painting, and try to portray this using different brush strokes and colours.
